EVE is no longer real, it has been reduced in scope. A hint of this can be found in a recent statement by C C P Falcon where he says that EVE is a virtual world whose inhabitants have more freedom to play the villain and experiment with various backhanded tactics than in any other MMO. This indicate a view of EVE as somewhat binary and simplistic, where actions can easily be categorized as villainous or heroic. Since CCP seem to be more supportive of the villians than the heroes in the game, and since the game mechanics protects the villains and make it very hard to combat the villain side using hero tools, the game is no longer real, and is essentially a villain simulator.
